Gaylord Apartments is a multi-generation, family owned business.  All our apartments were built, developed and owned by our family for over 30 years, starting with our father Gene.  Gene built or renovated many of our apartment buildings with the same care and quality he built his own home in Gaylord over 50 years ago. Gene and his wife Nancy, managed the apartments for over 30 years and raised their children in the construction and apartment rental business.  Gene taught our family that hard work and attention to detail pays off in providing safe, clean and quality living for our tenants.  Now the business has grown and developed into Gaylord Apartments and is owned and operated by their son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jane.

In 2011 Gaylord Apartments partnered with the city and state government to develop attractive and affordable housing in the previously vacant 111 Michigan Ave. building.  This development provides high quality affordable housing to residents in downtown Gaylord.  111 Michigan Ave has easy access to work, pharmacies, shopping and all the amenities Gaylord has to offer.

Our family believes in hard work and personal attention for all tenants, which is why their occupancy rate is one of the highest in the community.

Today, with 20 high quality apartments, Gaylord Apartments is proud to be one of Gaylord’s most stable and well-kept enterprises of residential living.  Gaylord has grown significantly in the last 40 years and we are proud to have played a role in its development.  We look forward to making Gaylord our home for many years to come and continuing the hands on family tradition of working with our neighbors, government and tenants to make Gaylord a great place to live!
